Happy Sunday,

1 Corinthians Chapter 2
Verses 1-5: Paul is talking about when he first came to the church at Corinth on his second Missionary Journey. I don't know if you know this, but Paul was a very intelligent guy! He used to be one of the top Pharisees in the Jewish faith and he went around killing Christians for their beliefs (his name was Saul back then). A visit from Jesus on the road to Damascus changed all that, and his name, and he became what he hated! One thing I can say for Paul is that he was ALL OUT for whatever he believed! He was FOCUSED! He only wanted to talk about Jesus and His crucifixion, with the help of the Holy Spirit, who is in all believers. He wanted people to know that his words were powered by God and not himself. Even though he was scared, God would give him the right words through the Holy Spirit.
I think this will have an impact my life when I am trying to talk to people about Jesus, when I am nervous, and can't seem to think of the words, I will remember that Paul had the same problem and rely on the Holy Spirit like he did!!
